From the famed Kakheti wine region of Georgia in the Kvareli appellation. A husband & wife team who are new to the business is tapping 5,000 years of winemaking tradition after having restored former Soviet land that had been irresponsibly farmed (not with grapes) threadbare. The family only grows native varietals, and they vinify in underground qvevri (clay vessels) as is the traditional winemaking process in Georgia.
