Bodegas Avancia was founded in 2004. A blend of aromas from one of the oldest and most historic vineyards in Valdeorras, Avancia Mencia Old Vines is a small production wine that demonstrates the style of Valdeorras reds - ethereal, mineral, floral, lifted, but with a youthful, crystalline concentration that stands out from other Galician reds. Due to the vineyard's northern orientation, Aeiroa ripens both slowly and late, allowing the grapes to maintain high levels of acidity and balance. The touch of carbon maceration and inclusion of whole bunches provides a crisp, lifted texture to the powerful wine.
