Description
CALADAS is the Provençal word for the large stone path that ran from Orange to Châteauneuf-du-Pape in ancient times. The winery is located at the heart of the Rhône Valley and has been owned by the Seguier family for 3 generations. The vineyards are located in the north of the area on plots called Palestors, Cabrières and la Bertaude. Some vines are as old as 140 years and lay on a clayed-sandy soils with limestone pebbles. Brilliant ruby sustained and slightly purple, very expressive nose of black cherry mixed with humus, licorice, rosemary, menthol, slightly camphor with notes of strawberry, lavender and blood orange. This elegant and fresh wine, made with a blend of 5 local grapes, is everything you can expect from this storied region.
