CLINE ANCIENT VIOGNIER 750ML

From Mendocino to Lake County to the Sonoma Coast - eight wonderful Viognier vineyards provide grapes for this blend. All achieve an ideal ripeness, creating a balance of acidity while showcasing the floral and stone-fruit character of the grapes. Viognier is a tricky grape to grow in that it buds out early and is susceptible to frost. Also, it’s thick skins require patience to get the full flavor potential of the grape. Vines bask in the sun during the day and are cooled at night contributing to this Viognier’s full-body weight and nice acidity. FERMENTATION & AGING The grapes were handpicked and destemmed before being pumped to our gentle press. The juice was chilled and settled before going to tanks. It was fermented cold in temperature-controlled stainless tanks which helped to maintain the floral and stone fruit elements of this wine.
