Description
Founded in 1982 by Guido Fantino and Claudio Conterno, Conterno Fantino is a proudly rooted estate in Monforte d’Alba, crafting expressive Barolos from historic crus like Ginestra, Mosconi, and Castelletto. The family’s vineyards—now totaling 27 hectares—have been certified organic since 2012, and the winery itself is also certified sustainable. From humble beginnings in a garage, the estate now produces around 13,000 cases annually, with Barolos aged in French oak and all wines made with native yeast and 100% destemming. With the next generation now fully involved, the family remains committed to terroir-driven, environmentally conscious winemaking—staying true to their Langhe heritage while always moving forward.
