DUHART MILON ROTHSCHILD 750ML

Originally part of Château Lafite’s second wine, the Duhart-Milon vineyard dates back to the early 18th century, when Pauillac’s grape cultivation expanded under the influence of the Lafite lords. Named after Sieur de Duhart, a gun-runner for Louis XIV, and the nearby hamlet of Milon, the estate was formed in the 1830s when the Castéja family inherited 99 acres from the Mandavy and Duhart families. Recognized in the 1855 Classification as the only 4th Growth in Pauillac, Duhart-Milon saw a decline until Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) acquired it in 1962. Since then, the vineyards have been completely restructured and the cellars modernized, marking a 40-year revival of this historic Médoc estate.
