Born into a family with over 130 years of farming tradition, Nuno Cancela de Abreu represents the 4th generation of the Cancela de Abreu lineage in the Dão region. With a strong academic background and deep roots in viticulture, Nuno launched the Boas Quintas project, dedicating himself fully to it in 2010. His goal: to produce sustainable, high-quality wines that reflect the character of the land. The brands Quinta da Fonte do Ouro and Quinta da Giesta, first planted in 1991, embody this vision—wines of distinct personality, crafted with experience, passion, and a deep respect for Dão’s heritage.
