Description
Fugue de Nénin is the second wine of Château Nénin, crafted from younger vines and clay-sandy soils, offering a more approachable, early-drinking expression of Pomerol. While most Pomerol estates are under 10 hectares, Château Nénin spans 32 hectares, showcasing the full diversity of Pomerol’s terroirs—from gravel and quartz to iron-rich clay and basalt pebbles. Acquired in 1997 by Jean-Hubert Delon (of Léoville Las Cases), the estate underwent a complete transformation: replanting, drainage, modern cellars, and a state-of-the-art vat room. The result is a refined, vibrant second wine with pedigree—a harmonious “fugue” to the grand vin’s symphony.
