Description
Founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in the historic village of Ampuis, E. Guigal has become a benchmark producer of the Rhône Valley. Etienne began winemaking at just 14 and crafted 67 vintages, helping shape the region’s modern identity. His son Marcel took over in 1961 and expanded the estate’s reach across the Northern and Southern Rhône, acquiring key vineyards in Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, and beyond. Today, in their Ampuis cellars, the Guigal family produces and ages wines from nearly every major Rhône appellation—celebrated for their depth, structure, and age-worthiness.
