Description
Though Sancerre is best known for Sauvignon Blanc, about 20% of its production is actually Pinot Noir. This vibrant rosé is made entirely from Pinot Noir using the saignée method—allowing brief skin contact (up to 24 hours) before drawing off a portion of juice to ferment separately as rosé. The result is a bright, fresh wine with lively acidity, pure red fruit, and a distinct mineral edge. Karine and Christian Lauverjat recommend letting it breathe for 30 minutes and serving at around 50°F to fully appreciate its aromatic and textural nuance.
