Description
Domaine de Mauperthuis is a quality-driven estate near Chablis, recognized for wines that have earned consistent praise in national competitions and repeated mentions in the Hachette Wine Guide. The domaine produces a diverse range, including oak-aged Pinot Noir, César, Chablis, and other expressions of Chardonnay. Founded with a clear focus on crafting wines that respect both terroir and environment, the estate is already certified High Environmental Value (HVE) and is actively pursuing organic certification. Its vineyards, part of a roughly 40-hectare holding, are planted on sun-exposed slopes surrounding Chablis, benefiting from excellent natural conditions. Low yields and careful vineyard management allow for precise expression: concentrated, structured Pinot Noir; Chardonnay marked by minerality and white florals; and Sauvignon Blanc with bright acidity and exotic, tangy fruit. A thoughtful, terroir-driven approach defines the style across the range.
