Dark ruby in color with a shiny red rim. Fruity nose of blackberries, plums, cloves, cedar, leather, licorice, earth, black pepper, chocolates, tobacco, cinnamon, herbs, spices, cigar box, light vanilla, light vegetables, dark coffee and peppercorn. Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs. Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, cloves, tobacco, coffee, chocolates, peppercorn, spices, vegetables, pencil lead, tar and black tea. Medium plus in finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries. This 5 year old Argentinian Malbec surprised me as I did not expect it to be as good as it was. Well balanced with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel. Spicy with a tangy ending
