Back in the Age of Sail, the rum needed to be rich, flavorful and strong, because nobody was going to hand it out to sailors without turning it into punch, or at least cutting it with water. Planteray O.F.T.D Rum is a take on that style: Master Distiller Alexandre Gabriel worked with six rum experts to come up with this blend of Guyanese, Jamaican, and Barbadian rums, delivering a rich mahogany color and intense notes of coffee, orange, plum, and truffles on the nose. The taste bursts with caramel cream, chocolate, and vanilla, continuing with cinnamon, raisons, nutmeg, and molasses.
