Planteray Stiggins' Fancy Pineapple Rum was born from a challenge from cocktail historian David Wondrich to recreate a long-forgotten delicacy. Rinds of the exquisite Queen Victoria pineapple are hand-peeled and infused with our 3 Stars white rum for one week, then pot-distilled into a fragrant elixir. Separately, the ripe flesh is infused in our Original Dark rum for 3 months, before both are married slowly in French oak. Pineapple aroma leaps out of Planteray Stiggins’ Fancy, underpinned by caramel and molasses notes. The rum has a deep texture with light spices backed by a pleasing bitterness and roasted pineapple character.
