Aromas of mixed red berries with hints of violet, blackberry, black cherry, and blueberry. Fresh and angular on the palate, with substantial Sangiovese tannicity softened by the other varieties. There is no use of oak, so the presence of of wild blackberries, black cherries, and blueberries remains unaltered. The estate, located in the medieval city of Siena, is centered around an eighth century watchtower. It is 100 hectares with 13 hectares of vineyard and 16 hectares of olive groves surrounded by woodland and meadows that is organically farmed by the 3rd generation of the Castelli family and made using minimal intervention.
